Graphic designers and content creators have always relied on their intuition and creativity to produce the most stunning and effective designs and content. However, with the help of software tools powered by artificial intelligence, these professionals can now take their content creation services to a whole new level.
In this article, we will discuss nine AI design software tools that are worth your attention. These AI content creation and graphic design tools can help you create beautiful and professional-looking graphics with ease!
Who are content creators and what do they create?
Content refers to any form of information that can be consumed by an audience. This can include written content such as articles and blog posts, as well as images, videos, and infographics.
In the context of marketing, content is created with the intention of engaging and informing potential customers. Marketers typically work closely with designers and other creative professionals to produce high-quality content that will resonate with their target audience.
By creating compelling and informative content, marketers can build trust and credibility with their customers, ultimately leading to more sales.
What are AI design software tools?
AI design software tools are computer programs powered by artificial intelligence (AI). These AI software programs use machine learning to save you hours of time, give creative inspiration, or simply do parts of the job for you.
With AI tools, you can craft engaging blog content, optimize your SEO, streamline social media, and easily create visual content.
As AI-powered design tools are becoming increasingly powerful and sophisticated, they are changing the landscape of content creation.
Why these particular tools?
The AI design software tools below are my favorite for written content, images, graphics, videos, and more. I researched for the best, and have used all of these in my digital marketing business. If you are a content creator, marketing professional, or graphic designer, you need to know about these tools!
This article only covers the highlights of each program. For additional information on each software program click on the accompanying link below the pricing.
1. Jasper.ai
AI writing tools, like Jasper, are not usually thought of as design tools. However, I believe they are beneficial for designers because of the significant advantages they offer.
An AI writing tool can save a graphic designer time and effort by automatically generating written content for their designs. This can include product descriptions, headlines, and other text elements that are often needed in marketing materials.
Additionally, an AI writing tool can help ensure that the text is grammatically correct and adheres to a specific tone or style. This can free up a designer’s time to focus on the visual elements of their designs and can also help to improve the overall quality of the final product.
Jasper can help you create quality content by providing you with templates and tools that make it easy to produce well-written articles. Additionally, Jasper can help you optimize your article for search engines so that it appears higher in search results.
Whether you own a graphic design business, or are simply a content creator looking for AI tools to make content creation easier, you will benefit immensely by learning how to use an AI writing tool.
It is important to remember that AI is not a replacement for human creativity. While an AI writer can provide a huge speed benefit, the content creator still needs to guide the process. The AI engine is not capable of understanding the company’s unique voice and tone. As a result, the final product will only be as good as the input that is provided.
For companies that want to use AI-powered writing, it is critical to have a skilled content creator who can ensure that the final product meets the company’s standards.
Highlights
- You can try Jasper for free for 5 days using the link below. They ask for credit card information, but you can easily cancel, no questions asked. And they have excellent customer service.
- This AI writing tool is exceptional for all kinds of writing. My favorite way to use it is for writing blog posts, social media content, email campaigns articles, and more.
- It has a built-in AI art generator for a small upgrade of $20/mo
- Integrates with Surfer SEO so your writing can be optimized for search engines.
- If you’re curious how others are using Jasper in their workflows, join the Jasper community on Facebook.
2. Adobe Photoshop
Photoshop is the king of image-based AI graphic design tools and is the design industry standard software for many categories of designers. It is also one of the best AI tools designers can have in their creative arsenal.
Not all AI tools need to be a robust as Photoshop, however. There are other AI tools listed in this article that do a great job for one or two specific tasks, whereas Photoshop can do all of those things, and so much more. You could easily argue that Photoshop’s AI features are the most robust AI-enhanced software tools on the market today.
From photo-touchup to augmented reality photo compositions like the one below, if it can be done Photoshop can do it. Some design studios have based their entire menu of services on photoshop services alone!
And now, true to Adobe’s cutting-edge persona, artificial intelligence plays a large and ever-increasing role in the features of this excellent design software tool. Adobe’s Creative Suite continues to grow more powerful and feature-rich, allowing content professionals to design full marketing campaigns faster and with more creativity than ever before.
With the help of Adobe Sensei, Photoshop’s deep learning AI engine, you can now use several different AI-powered features, such as auto-tagging, selection options, and a search function that can help you find the perfect photo for your project in a fraction of the time it would normally take.
Highlights
- Neural filters that enable changes in the appearance of a person such as aging, emotion, skin smoothing, gaze, hair thickness, head direction, and more.
- Sophisticated selection tools use AI to easily isolate objects within a photo for clipping, modifying or other photo manipulation.
- Replace the sky Generate a new sky on any image. Go from a dull sky to whatever type of sky you want: cloud-filled, sunset, cloudless, and several other options.
- Content-aware fill can remove unwanted objects and, using the surrounding area of the image, determine and replace the missing details.
- The new Discover panel adds a completely different learn and search experience to Photoshop. The app offers a significantly expanded library of in-app learn materials, fresh step-by-step walkthroughs, and a new powerful context-aware search feature.
My Take
If you are a professional graphic designer or own a design business you probably already subscribe to Adobe creative cloud. If you haven’t upgraded your Photoshop version lately now is the time to do it! It doesn’t make sense to work on something for hours when artificial intelligence can do the same thing for you in mere minutes.
If you are an aspiring graphic designer, photoshop is almost a must-have graphic design tool depending on the services and creative assets you provide.
The best part about Photoshop is that you can purchase it as a stand-alone or packaged with Adobe’s Creative Cloud, a bundle of 20+ programs and mobile apps that serve various parts of the creative process.
3. Adobe Firefly

Firefly uses Adobe Sensei, the company’s AI and machine learning framework, to automatically carry out complex edits that would typically require extensive manual work. This makes the editing process much faster and more accessible to creators of all skill levels.
Whether you want to make YouTube videos, design unique graphics, or edit your photos, Firefly streamlines things so you can crank the content out faster. Nice, too, is Firefly’s easy-to-use design and intelligent features give even beginners access to professional-quality editing tools for graphics, video, and photos. Firefly stands poised to become an indispensable part of my production toolkit for years to come. No other AI creative tool has gotten me this genuinely fired up and inspired.
4. Khroma
Khroma is a free AI-based color tool that’s intuitive and easy to use. It’s a great tool to play around with as you’re trying to define a color palette for a new graphic design project.
Khroma uses artificial intelligence to train an algorithm to generate an endless combination of color palettes based on your top 50 color preferences.
It would be even better if it let you extract a color palette from an uploaded photo as this color palette extractor shown below does, but if you want to generate new color palatte ideas altogether, Khroma is the AI tool for you.
I find the Color Palette Extractor tool used in the image below to be super helpful when designing a print or web page around photography.
From a choice of seemingly endless colors, you pick your 50 favorites and the AI will generate color combinations, color palettes, and duotone image renditions.
Highlights
- Simple – simple and easy to use
- Versatile – search for colors using different parameters such as name, hue, type, hex, and RGB.
- Flexible – If you already have a color in mind, you can upload the color image and Khroma will create a palette that complements it.
My take
Khroma is a basic app with limited options such as no photo color extractor. However it’s a free app, and at that price, the AI inspiration alone is worth it! For projects such as page-layouts, web design, and company branding Khroma can be a handy tool.
Because of its ease and simplicity It’s one of the graphic design tools I use when I want to create a quick color palette.
5. This Person Does Not Exist
This Person Does Not Exist is a random face generator creating images of highly realistic-looking images of people who do not exist, nor have they ever. It’s an AI-powered tool that can come in handy for mockups, realistic-looking illustrations, or digital art pieces.
The program works by using artificial intelligence to train a generative adversarial network (GAN) on a dataset of real images. The result is a photorealistic image that looks like it could be a genuine portrait but is, in fact, computer-generated.
Highlights
- Realistic – Faces are photo-realistic, with occasional telltale signs and odd details
- Unique creations – Uses deep learning to generate an infinite number of unique faces using data from analyzing tens of thousands of images.
- A handy tool – Automatically generate depictions of people without using models or actors.
The faces above were all created using the This Person Does Not Exist AI app. Almost all of the images created look highly legitimate, but occasionally you will see a strange rendering on the image that doesn’t look quite right.
My Take
This is a fantastic tool for generating fake people for website and marketing mockups, as well as other uses. It’s easy to use—just click and an image is created.
The downside is there’s no way to customize what you are looking for. If you want a young girl, for example, you have to keep clicking the image generation button until you get one.
A second downside is an unlikelihood of getting a darker skinned-person to show up. Out of over 100 images generated, not once was a black man, woman, or child image the generated outcome. Hopefully, that will change soon!
Pricing: Free currently
6. Let’s Enhance
Let’s Enhance is an image editing software that uses artificial intelligence to increase image resolution without quality loss.
This AI design tool can take a low-resolution image and, using a combination of machine learning algorithms and traditional image processing techniques, increase the resolution by up to four times.
Highlights
- The app also offers image noise reduction, color correction, and object removal.
- Easy to use
- Increases resolution allowing you to print at larger scales
My Take
Remember the days when we, as graphic designers, had to tell clients they couldn’t just grab an image off of their website and use it for print? With LetsEnhance.io those days are gone!
7. Uizard
Uizard is a user-friendly rapid prototyping software that helps front end developers make mockups. Because the AI does much of the manual work for you, it’s a handy visual design tool that can speed up your creative workflow.
Uizard has several pre-designed templates and widgets for quickly developing the front-end appearance, or users can simply upload hand-drawn layouts to automatically generate basic wireframes.
Highlights
- Easily convert doodles to designs
- Ready-made templates and themes to get you started
- Instant Sharing and Collaboration for teams
My Take
Uizard is a great AI-powered software that uses a machine learning algorithm to automatically convert a sketch into a fully functional design. This can be a huge time saver!
The sketch feature alone makes it Uizard worth a look, but Uizard also has many other features, too, such as:
- Switch between low-fidelity wireframe and high-fidelity designs
- Switch between various design themes
- Creation of high-fidelity themes from any source
- High-fidelity prototyping
8. Deep Dream Generator
This is one of my favorite new programs to play with! Want to make a photo you took look like it was painted by Van Gogh or Monet? Or perhaps you have a particular style genre you’d like your artwork to emulate. If you love to create art, you’ll love Deep Dream Generator!
Deep Dream Generator is a novel artistic painting tool powered by AI that allows people to create and share artistic pictures. It uses an algorithm to redraw an image using the stylistic elements of another image to create a kind of augmented reality feel to the image.
Simply upload your picture, choose the style you want to emulate, and voila! The AI transforms your image into one that takes on the stylistic look of the image you asked it to emulate.
Here some of my favorite user results from Deep Dream Generator. These are pretty awesome wouldn’t you agree?
Highlights

- Dream-like images – DeepDream’s deliberately over-processed images have a dream-like appearance

Highlights
- There are four categories of design to work with: Logo, design, speech, and video.
